Hi Elin, thank you for taking the time to write this feedback!

It's indeed that we want to be able to say, for example "Dear Lisa" or "Greetings to the Duncan family", but this personalisation only works when a user's personal preferences are considered.

I also would like to add a reference from Mark H. Anbinder, the author of Creating More Inclusive and Culturally Sensitive Forms. On the article he states that the First and Last Name convention may fit the majority of cultural and personal expectations for those in the United States, but expand your audience to those born or with family roots in other parts of the world and multicultural sensitivity comes into play.

The trouble begins when a person may have or prefer to use one name. In this case, I have a friend who doesn't have middle name/surname/last name. She feels frustrated when she has to fill the forms with First and Last Name. More common are people who have three-parts, four-parts, or even five-parts name. There are also people who have a hyphen on their name. Hence, as the designer or even any product manager should consider it. Well, have you ever thought, for example, why the sign up form of Amazon and InVision is using Full Name instead of separating into First Name and Last Name?

I suggest you to check on their website in case you didn't notice it.

Yes, I designed the menu to have the same approach as their previous one before they changed it many times. Yet, what I did there is restructure the hierarchy of their Information Architecture based on the tendency of user's behaviour in sorting the menu.

However, I would like to highlight the issue regarding the cultural sensitiveness of forms design and providing the solution for creating an inclusive design.
