Founded in 2002, the Interaction Design Foundation is a nonprofit online design education based in Denmark.

I received this postcard in December 2020 from the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF)

It was in 2019 my colleague and I discussed one of the well-known online courses while we were waiting for the user research session. At that time I was interested to gain information about the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF). I actually have heard of this online course since a long time ago. It was mentioned several times by my colleagues who work in the field of User Experience Design as well. Hence, the curiosity brought me to the discussion.

Based on the discussion, Interaction Design Foundation offers a comprehensive course backed by experts. If you are a fellow UX designer…

Note: In 2020, I was assigned to create mockups for an online movie streaming service and to create a responsive web page by using HTML and plain CSS (no framework). These assignments must be done in 5 days as the next stage before the interview session. Therefore, I am excited to share my design process during the creation of Ciné.

Create mockups for an online movie streaming service and provide at least two homepage mockups: one for the desktop and the mobile device. We want to know how you would make it easy for the user to:

  • Register
  • Find movies

During my journey as a UX/UI Designer, I have utilized various design tools and getting familiar with non-design tools.

UX/UI Designers and their tools

First and foremost, understanding technology and getting to grips with the design tools also non-design tools are a part of the learning curve as a UX/UI Designer. They need to have a keen grasp of the technology they are working with. In general, UX/UI Designers utilize various programs and platforms to communicate design efficiently.

Over time, UX/UI Designers will be familiar with the tools. They might have some consideration and particular preference of which tools are suitable for them, either design tools or non-design tools. Choosing the tools also depends on the type of project. As long as UX/UI Designers…

The event of Config Europe 2020 was announced by Figma on their Instagram account and other social media. All Figmates and the participants were hyped attending the virtual conference. The Figma team also invited us to join the community on Slack after we registered for the event. It was great! I was amazed by the number of communities on Slack. AI Chatbot offers a seamless experience to users and helps people with disabilities.

The digital era has been part of our lives and we are given access to an abundance of information. It also offers the potential to improve the lives of disabled people. Yet, many websites and applications still fail to provide accessibility for people with disabilities.

As a designer, we should have more awareness regarding accessibility because the term user experience puts special emphasis on the human side. According to Nielsen Norman Group, the user experience encompasses all aspects of the end-user’s interaction with the company, its services, and its products. …

“Hey, what’s your favorite movie or TV show on Netflix?”, asked a friend.
This question may be familiar to you 👀

Yes, a lot of people are into it; whether they find trending movies, popular movies, or other movie categories, they will mention Netflix.

Netflix was first founded in August of 1997 by two serial entrepreneurs Marc Randolph and Reed Hastings. The company started out in Scotts Valley, California, and has grown to become the world’s leading internet entertainment platform. When it first opened, Netflix was purely a website-based movie rental service, allowed people to rent DVDs online.

Founded in 2004, Facebook has become the biggest social networking service based on global reach. It has almost 2.5 billion monthly active users as of the fourth quarter of 2019 (Facebook statistics). No wonder that Facebook continues to make strategic acquisitions; in 2014 the company paid $19 billion to buy messaging company WhatsApp and Instagram was acquired for $1 billion in 2012. You might notice that Facebook adds its brand name alongside those apps — in the following format: “Whatsapp from Facebook” and “Instagram from Facebook”. Hence, it makes Facebook a powerful company.

Like millions of other people, I use…

Good design is actually a lot harder to notice than poor design, in part because good designs fit our needs so well that the design is invisible, serving us without drawing attention to itself. Bad design, on the other hand, screams out its inadequacies, making itself very noticeable.

In 2018 Snapchat released its new design of their application to tons of new users. Surprisingly, many users were not happy with the redesign and they became upset. As a result of the issues, nearly 600.000 users signed a petition on asked…

Price is what you pay. Value is what you get. — Warren Buffett

The quote of Warren Buffet is a great reminder to look at our product from our customer’s perspective before we start designing a pricing page. As a Designer in a SaaS company, you might have a hard time to figure out what you should consider in designing a pricing page. Yes, it’s not a simple thing and it can be a bit tricky! In fact, the Conversion Pro and A/B Testing Expert at Draft, Nick Disabato, states that the first place every single visitor runs to is…
